Splashville – in Asheville, (cute, it rhymes) interactive dancing water fountains located in Pack Square in Downtown Asheville for children of all ages to play in and cool off. Free
The spot has become too well known for skinny dipping, but the 1/2 mile hike to this spot is worth the effort. Situated in a captivating location in the forest, the waterfall tumbles into an emerald green pool bordered by rhododendron, laurel and large rock outcroppings. There is a boulder situated above the pool to provide the perfect launching pad for jumping into the pool. Free
